Snohomish, the "Antique Capital of the Northwest", is a city in the Puget Sound region of Washington state. It's downtown district is renowned for its collection of antique shops.

The city was founded in 1859, making it one of the oldest non-indigenous settlements in the region. It was the first county seat of Snohomish County, until it was relocated to Everett in 1897. City of Snohomish website

The Snohomish Historical District, along 1st St and its cross streets, has a lot of antique shops, restaurants, bars and little shops. There are buildings from the 1800s, some used to be brothels.

US Highway 2 (US-2) connects from Everett to the northwest, and Monroe to the southeast. It bypasses the historic district by routing around the north and east edge of town. State Route 9 (WA-9) passes through the west side of town, from Woodinville to the south, and Lake Stevens to the north. 1 Community Transit (Snohomish Park & Ride (P&R) at Brickford Ave and Ave D roundabout), ☏ +1 425-353-7433, toll-free: +1-800-562-1375. Operates local and regional public transit bus routes in Snohomish County, except only local routes in Everett. Communities within the county served by this operator's routes include Arlington, Edmonds, Everett, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Snohomish, and Stanwood with the following serving Snohomish: (updated Jun 2023) Bus routes 270 & 271 pass through Snohomish towards Everett from Gold Bar via Sultan and Monroe on US 2. They detour through Snohomish via 92nd St E/2nd St and Ave 'D'/Brickford Ave. They pass by the Snohomish P&R on Brickford Ave (at west side). Difference between the two routes is that the #271 bus winds its way through local streets in Sultan and Monroe while 270 pass through them on US 2. Bus route 424 goes down to Downtown Seattle through Monroe and Woodinville from Snohomish P&R at Ave 'D' (east side of P&R lot). This route operates weekday mornings to Seattle and return to Snohomish weekday afternoons only.
