Hike. The Appalachian Trail passes right through downtown Norwich. There are also a number of shorter trails in the town. There are a number of old cemeteries in town, some of which contain graves dating back to the Revolutionary War period. Jasper Murdock's Alehouse, 325 Main St. Jasper Murdock's Alehouse is a Vermont microbrewery at the Norwich Inn, named after the inn's 1797 founder. From Burlington, Vermont (about 1.5 hours) Take I-89 S to I-91 N in White River Junction, VT. Continue as above. From New York (about 5 hours), southern New England and points south Take I-91 N to Exit 13. Continue as above. Cape Air flies to Lebanon Regional Airport (LEB IATA) from Boston. Other alternatives are Manchester (New Hampshire) and Burlington (Vermont), both about 1.5 hours away by car; or Logan International in Boston or Bradley International in Windsor Locks, both about 2.5 hours away.
