Trip Plan

To make the most of your 2-hour and 18-minute drive, try to time your departure to avoid peak commuter hours on the parkways. Since there are no scheduled stops in the itinerary, you have the flexibility to plan your own breaks whenever you need to stretch your legs. Keep in mind that the $16 fuel estimate is a baseline, so ensure your tank is topped off before heading out to avoid mid-trip refueling. Given the high highway percentage, staying alert during the long stretches on the Palisades Interstate Parkway is key to a smooth arrival. Use the lack of mandatory stops to your advantage by customizing your own rest schedule along the way.

Seasonal Notes

Summer travel usually means heavier construction, hotter rest stops, and busier weekend traffic around major cities.

Winter travel shortens daylight, so a route that looks manageable on paper can feel much longer after dark.

Holiday weekends tend to make both departure and arrival windows slower than the raw route time suggests.

Time zone

Same local time

Origin and destination are on the same clock, so arrival timing is easier to judge at a glance.

Temperature spread

1 degrees warmer at arrival

A meaningful temperature swing is a good cue to rethink layers, water, and how soon you want to arrive.

Road read

2h 18m on the road

Use the two city cards together: check the sky where you start, then compare it with the local time and temperature at arrival.
