From Las Vegas – Take US 95 north to Tonopah. From Reno – Take Interstate 80 east to Fernley, then US 50 southeast to Fallon, then US 95 south to Tonopah. Tonopah is closer to Las Vegas than Reno by 20 mi (32 km). 1 Tonopah Airport (TPH IATA). General aviation airport. There are no commercial flights. 2 Mammoth Yosemite Airport (MMH IATA) in California is the closest airport with any commercial flights, but it has only a few flights. 3 Harry Reid International Airport (LAS IATA) in Las Vegas is the closest airport with a significant number of national and international commercial flights 4 Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO IATA) in Reno, would be the best place to fly into if you are factoring Reno into your travels
