WA-20 passes through town, from the west towards Burlington and Interstate 5 exit #231, and from the east along the North Cascades Highway towards North Cascades National Park. WA-9 passes through town, from the south towards Arlington and from the north towards Sumas and the Canadian border. From Mount Vernon Station take the 70x going towards Concrete via Sedro Woolley. Likewise one can also take the 205 bus from Mt Vernon Station to Skagit Valley College (SVC). From SVC the same bus becomes the 305 which continues towards Sedro Woolley.
