Rye is a coastal city in Westchester County of New York. Best known for being home to Rye Playland (also known as Playland Amusement Park) which was built in 1928, the only publicly-owned amusement park in the U.S.A., it has the feel of a charming, wealthy small town along the Long Island Sound. It is the youngest city in New York State. Waterfront covers 60 percent of the city's six square miles. Rye has over 454 acres of parklands which are great for hiking and walking.

Provides fun rides (including the Dragon Coaster), food vendors, an ice skating rink, mini golf and fireworks on selected Fridays in the summer. Yes, the boardwalk is the very same from the 1980s movie Big. Free concerts and fireworks in season; first come, first served in the picnic and barbecue area. Ride wristband (height >=48 in (1,200 mm)): $25 for Westchester residents, $30 others; junior ride wristband (height <48 in (1,200 mm)): $15 for Westchester residents, $20 for others; non-ride spectator wristbands: free for Westchester residents, $10 for others.
