Palm City (PC) is the largest town in Martin County on Florida's Treasure Coast. If you like golf courses and driving through nice neighborhoods, then this is the place to visit.
Palm City is the largest town in Martin County, with a population of 26,000 people (2020). This town is home to an equestrian center in an area known as Martin Downs, which is accessible from the Florida Turnpike. PC borders the city of Stuart and is accessible from downtown via State Road 714, which extends to Interstate 95. The town is so well put together that you'd forget it was a small town.
The main thing to see in Palm City is the Martin Down neighborhood however, the town also host many parks that are considered "breathtaking" by Martin County's tourist development council. 1 Charlie Leighton Park, ☏ +1 772 221-1418. This 4-acre park on the shore of the St. Lucie river provides opportunities for activities like paddle boarding and canoeing and has an amazing view of the sunrise. Free. Palm City is accessible by car through on Interstate 95 via exits 102-114 and Florida's Turnpike (toll-road) via exit 133, and SR 714. The closest train station is in West Palm Beach, serving two Amtrak routes and the Miami commuter rail service, Tri-Rail. The closest commercial hubs are in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Orlando. Miami and Orlando serve major international airports, including London Heathrow and some airports in South America.
Your best bet to get around Palm City is by car. There is little traffic in the area, and the streets are not one way in Martin Downs, unlike central business districts in other larger cities. Visitors from Stuart can take State Road 714 or 36th Street/Indian Street/Martin Hwy. The closest bus service is in Stuart; there are two routes, one around Stuart and one as a commuter bus serving Jensen Beach, with a transfer at the Treasure Coast Mall to another bus service serving St. Lucie County.
