The original owners of the town site came to North Dakota from Lisbon, NY and Lisbon, IL. The farming and ranching community sits on the banks of the Sheyenne River.
Sheyenne River Speedway (Ransom County Fairgrounds). Dirt track racing, WISSOTA classes, mini trucks. Open May to September, race nights 6:30PM. Admission: Adults $8, seniors $7, children 6-12 $4, 5-under free.
