Emporia is a city in the Flint Hills region of Kansas. It is the county seat of Lyon County and the home of Emporia State University and William Allen White.

Closed State holidays. Home of journalist William Allen White, who hosted five Presidents including Theodore Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover.
