Delta is a small town, but sits at a key location in Central Utah. It is home to about 4,000 people (census, 1 April 2020) The elevation of Delta is approximately 4600 feet (1400 m) above sea level. The summer average temperatures during the day can be warm, while the winter temperatures can be very cold, especially at night.

The Little Sahara Recreation Area has many activities available, including camping (for both tents and RVs), off-highway vehicle recreation, hiking, biking, horseback riding and wildlife study. Be sure to bring lots of water and have enough fuel for your return trip if you place to explore the west desert. $18/vehicle/night, $120 Annual Pass, $60 for seniors and people with disabilities.
