The local library sometimes offers a book club, board games, and yoga classes. Fishing and a nature trail are available at the (Nottoway) Falls off of Route 49. Locals will swim in the waters below the dam, though they can be perilous due to slick algae and water moccasins. Twin Lakes State Park, 15 minutes west of Crewe, offers fishing, camping, swimming, a nature trail, a playground, and kayaking. Two picnic shelters are available for reservation for private events.
